Check out the latest release from the Italian manufacturer at GravelBikes.Online Live 2023
Known for its high-end components, precision engineering and commitment to innovation that has continued to push the boundaries, Campagnolo is a brand that has been deeply rooted in the world of cycling since its inception nearly 90 years ago. The Italian manufacturer also sponsors and supplies its components to a WorldTour team, AG2R Citroën, which it has used to understand what equipment is needed to drive at the top of the sport.
Working in collaboration with the team’s riders and Campagnolo’s innovators and lab experts, the Italian manufacturer launched its race-ready Hyperon Ultra full carbon wheelset earlier this year. The new high-end wheelset was said to combine a renewed combination of features and cutting-edge technology and has inspired their latest release: the Hyperon wheelset.
Campagnolo’s Hyperon wheelset is again all carbon, ultralight at 1,340gi high performance, and is said to be designed for the most refined and demanding riders. The rims have been shaped using a state-of-the-art handmade ultra-light carbon (HULC) processing, used exclusively by the Italian manufacturer, in order to achieve optimal alignment and the ideal ratio between carbon fiber and resin to ensure the rigidity and durability. , according to Campagnolo.
The new wheelset also features Campagnolo’s single joint construction which is said to reduce slack while making the rim extremely stiff and responsive to the terrain, transmitting pedal power and efficiency to the ground. The stiffness of the wheelset is also said to be supported by the asymmetric rim profile, which helps with total stress management while maximizing safety and handling.
And because Campagnolo understands that looks are just as important as technology, the new Hyperon wheelset is finished with its mirror-like C-LUX finish for a more premium and impeccably stylish look. The Italian manufacturer said this is achieved by using only one material for the wheels, saving weight for these marginal gains. The C-LUX finish is also said to help ensure the safest possible fit for tubeless tires, making installation and removal easier, as well as reducing the risk of bead abrasion. The inner width of the Hyperon wheelset is 21mm and the rim profile is 37mm, making the wheels adaptable and premium looking on any bike. Now available at Campagnolo for €2,690, Campagnolo’s new Hyperon wheelset embodies the brand’s legacy of performance and aesthetics.
The new Hyperon wheelset adds to Campagnolo’s high-end luxury products. Just a few months ago, during the Giro d’Italia, the Italian manufacturer launched its long-awaited Super Record Wireless 12-speed road groupset. The launch of the Super Record groupset was a big moment for Campagnolo, a kind of projection of what the company’s technological future will be for groupsets for road bikes, but also for a number of new products. And the new Hyperon wheelset is another chapter in Campagnolo’s new era of technology and design.
Campagnolo will be at this year’s GravelBikes.Online Live showing off their latest releases, including their recently released Hyperon wheelset and the Super Record Wireless 12-speed road groupset that launched earlier this year.
