Genesis Unveils Zero Disc Carbon Road Racer and Vapour Carbon CX Crosser

The New Bikes from Genesis Bikes for 2017

Carbon and Disc Brakes

UK based Genesis Bikes is introducing a wide range of new bikes for model year 2017. Their focus this year is on carbon and disc brakes, which are relatively new for the brand. They have recently released two new carbon bikes – the Zero Disc, a top-level disc brake carbon road bike, and the Vapour Carbon CX, a cyclocross bike. They are also adding a dedicated women’s road line, featuring versions of the Zero Disc, Zero, Datum, and an alloy endurance bike. In addition, they have adapted an alloy mountain bike design for their all-purpose Skyline commuter bike. Finally, they have expanded their steel Tarn line to include 29″ wheels and a version for 27.5+.

Zero Disc Carbon

The Zero Disc Carbon is a disc brake carbon road bike that has been developed to support Genesis’ road race team. It features a 40/30T monocoque carbon frame with a tapered headtube, full internal cable routing, a PressFit BB86 bottom bracket, 12mm thru-axles, and flat mount disc brakes. The bike comes in five sizes and various paint jobs, and uses a traditional 27.2mm seatpost. It is available in four different builds and two framesets, with prices ranging from £1800 to £3330.

Zero Carbon

The Zero Carbon is a carbon road bike that carries over unchanged for next season. It has been updated with new graphics and build kits. The top model, the Zero Z.3, features mechanical Ultegra and retails for £2300. The frameset is available for £1500.

Volare Steel

The Volare Steel is a steel road bike that comes in two versions – the Reynolds 931 stainless steel version for £1700, and the Reynolds 853 heat-treated version for £900.

Vapour Carbon CX

The Vapour Carbon CX is a carbon cyclocross bike built with a durable 30/24T carbon fiber mix. It features a tapered headtube, full internal cable routing, a PressFit BB86 bottom bracket, 12mm thru-axles, and flat mount disc brakes. The bike comes in five sizes and three different builds, with prices ranging from £2100 to £2800. A frameset is also available for £1600.

Vapour CX Alloy

The Vapour CX Alloy is an alloy cyclocross bike that has been updated with a new double-butted aluminum tubeset. It is available in two different builds, with prices ranging from £900 to £1000.

Zero Disc Women’s Carbon

Genesis is introducing a women-specific lineup of their race and adventure road bikes. The Zero Disc Women’s Carbon is a women-specific version of the Zero Disc Carbon, available in an eggplant purple color. It features the same tech and geometry as the standard version, and comes in smaller sizes.

Zeal Women’s Carbon & Women’s Delta Alloy

The Zeal Women’s Carbon is a women-specific version of the Zero Carbon, available in aqua blue. The Women’s Delta Alloy is an alloy sportive bike offered at a more affordable price point. Both bikes are available in women-specific sizes.

Datum Women’s Carbon

The Datum Women’s Carbon is a women-specific version of the carbon all-road and gravel bike. It comes in a purple color and is available as a complete bike or a frameset.

Skyline Alloy

The Skyline Alloy is an alloy commuter bike designed for year-round, all-weather commuting. It comes with fenders and disc brakes, and is available in three different builds.

Tarn 29er Steel

The Tarn 29er Steel is a trail riding hardtail with a steel frame. It features a Reba RL fork and SLX drivetrain, and is available in multiple sizes.

Tarn 27.5+ Steel

The Tarn 27.5+ Steel is another version of the Tarn with 27.5″ wheels. It offers the same features as the 29er version and is available in multiple sizes.
