HANGAR CONNECT: MAKES YOUR BIKE MAINTENANCE EASY WHEREVER

For those of us who live in apartments or houses with limited space, servicing the gravel bike is tricky, so to speak. We have to walk around looking for any space in the living room, dining room or entrance hall to do it.

In addition to the above, there is no space to mount a tripe – bra to lift it and give the respective maintenance. But there is already a tool that could make this job easier for you. It’s called Hangar Connect and now I’ll tell you what it’s about.

A common story

But despite having room to give basic maintenance to my gravel is difficult to accommodate a tripod or bra with which to lift the bike to do a frame cleaning or chain greasing in a comfortable way. I have to be bending over and maneuvering it and at my age the back pain is starting to set in.

I don’t know about you but I’ve been living in apartments for years and in some of them the space was so small that for give basic maintenance to my gravel I had to do it on the street. Right now I live in an apartment where there is enough space, although I have to “work” in a corridor or in the kitchen. Also, I try to do it when no one is around to avoid fights.

A solution for many

Luckily the world is full of smart people and Altangle, a company in the US, invented a bicycle bra that can be attached to railings, heating pipes or any pipe you have in your apartment or house.

In reality, the concept is not that complicated; it is a tube that has a bra at both ends. One is to hold the seatpost and the other has a wider “jaw” to hold tubes of different shapes and thicknesses.

This bra is very practical. Image: altanglecycling.com.

In the image above, you can see how the device is attached to a rectangular-shaped railing tube that is not easy to hold onto, even by hand. This is thanks to the bra whose keel can be opened up to 7.6cmthat is to say, it can hold tubes of any shape whose thickness does not exceed this figure.

Now the challenge is to locate where or how to use it in your department. The fellow graveler was smart. Image: altanglecycling.com.

Not all of us have a tube or similar body to attach the Hangar Connect to, but by being creative you’ll surely find some way to accommodate it, just like the girl in the picture above did.

The device is made of aluminum and therefore its weight is only 1.3 kg.

If you have a van, car or pickup with some tube installed, you can mount it. Image: altanglecycling.com.

Hangar Connect can hold bicycles up to 25kg, which we are already talking about an electric bike. The length is 35cm by 15cm wide, making it easily transportable.

As for shipping, the manufacturer does not quote if it can ship outside the US. but it’s a matter of writing them down or looking it up on Google to confirm if it is available in any e-store with shipping to your country.

concluding

In the previous apartment where we lived, I was doing maintenance on my gravel on the balcony, which had a railing and an extension extending upwards from it with a slight incline. I took advantage of this extension and placed a cable and hung the bike on it to clean it, change wheels, etc. It wasn’t ideal but it worked. If I had the Hangar Connect everything would have been easier.

My problem in the current department is that we have no balcony and nowhere to put the Hangar Connect. I should come up with something like the girl in one of the pictures above did. But if you have it, then this tool is a good creation to give “love” to your gravel in a comfortable way.
